Adele and I find ourselves tackling some hard topics in this interview when we challenge our own beliefs and boundaries when it comes to rehabilitation.
Adele has a BA and MA in Sociology. She started a PhD but left it after one semester, having decided she would rather work with people than write about them. But that did not prevent her having to fight a hard battle with alcoholism, that she nearly lost. But 12 she is now life coaching and recovery to create a bold new way of finding a sober life.
Adele’s top-3 recommendations:
1. There are a variety of ways to get and stay sober. The point is to find what works for YOU, and stay the course.
2. You are not bad trying to get good. You are just sick trying to get well, and scared trying to get safe.
3. Whatever you do, don’t try to recover alone. It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a village to heal an addict.
Adele offers private coaching to those struggling with alcohol abuse and misuse. She likes to listen to the needs of each client and create personalized coaching packages based on where they currently are.
