104 – Nisha Mody – How Getting Divorced Helped Me Heal Intergenerational and Emotional Trauma

Nisha is a South Asian American woman who experienced emotional trauma as a child as well as in her toxic marriage. Her divorce led her to strengthen her convictions about justice and create connections between inequities and the depth trauma reaches our bodies and lives. She continues to reconcile this trauma through creative writing,meditation, healing her nervous system, with a dash of witchyness! And as a Feminist Healing Coach, she guides others to heal as well.
She is a librarian, writer, and Feminist Healing Coach who works to heals herself from emotional and physical abuse as well as sexual trauma through creative writing, mindfulness, meditation, and healing the nervous system.

1. Our bodies tell us about our emotional state before our mind does.
2. Creating mindful habits can be transformational.
3. Having empathy for others is inherently justice-oriented.
