Today I welcome Clarissa Kristjansson to my show. Clarissa is a expert on menopause and helps me to understand this phenomenon better. As Clarissa puts it: “Midlife women are drinking more than ever to cope with the demands of their overbusy lives and ‘wine time’ is the new way for women to socialise. But alcohol dials up menopause symptoms and how do you cut back without losing all your friends when ‘wine time’ is how you socialise.” Clarissa’s own journey from corporate leader to helping others began when she suffered a burnout during her menopause and had to reassess how she was living her life. Today Clarissa is a Menopause Transition Specialist whose approach is founded on neuroscience, mindfulness, and women’s health coaching to help women transform the peri to post menopause journey. She is a neuroscientist, certified health and mindfulness coach, the author of The Mindful Menopause and the host of The Menopause Project podcast.
